Blog: A Call to The Youth
God wants the youth to become men of earnest mind, to be prepared for in his noble work and fitted to bear responsiblites. God calls for young men with hearts uncorrupted, strong and brave,and determined to fight man-fully in the struggle before them, that they may glorify God, and bless humanity. If the Youth would but make the bible their study, would but calm their impetuous desires, and listen to the voice of their Creator and Redeemer, they would find themselves ennobled and elevated. It will be for your enernal interest, my young friend, to give heed to the instructions in the word of God, for they are of inestimable inportance to you. I entreat you to be wise and consider what will be the result of leading a wild life uncontrolled by the Spirit of God.
Sabbath School
I recall a program sponsored by a local ministry that distributed cards with Bible verses written on both sides that helped people memorize God’s Word. Such a practice is in keeping with the instructions Moses gave the Israelites when he told them to write the commandments of God “on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates” (Deut. 6:9). We are to treasure God’s Word in our hearts (v. 6), to impress it on our children, and to talk about it “when [we] walk along the road, when [we] lie down and when [we] get up” (v. 7).
These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Deuteronomy 6:6

Evening Prayer
As we gather here in the harbour of your safety
We thank you for fellowship and family.
We ask that you will strengthen us, restore us and inspire us with your love.
Lord, would fill us with your peace
So that as we journey onwards
We would pour out your love and grace to others.
We ask that our souls would catch the wind of your spirit
so that we would take your promises to all the earth.
Amen.
